Michael Jackson Medley

Saturday, 12 September 2009 5:51 P GMT-05

OK. So I don't know who this guy is---never heard of him before until a friend passed along this video to me in an email.  This is a music video arrangement of the same guy singing various Michael Jackson tunes. I can't be positive, because there is so much hidden talent out there, but this just looks too damn professional to be coming from a couple of college kids---the guy singing these songs and the guy who did the mix on the video.  No offense to college students----it's just, if this is really the case and these guys are amateurs, then things have reeeeally changed since I went to college....lol

This is one great clip.....enjoy!

SORRY GUYS....The video is no longer available---it's property of the big 'O' and apparently the big 'O' doesn't play nice with her vids!! tisk tisk.

Holy Crap!!

I don't watch too much television so it's no surprise that I missed these girls on Oprah.....hell, I don't even know when this particular episode first aired (?). But these chicks are bloody phenomenal.

You know, what cranks up the envy factor for me isn't so much that these girls are drop dead beautiful, or incredibly talented, or even that they take on one of my most favorite Paul McCartney tunes and lay it down nearly as good, if not better.  Nope. It's none of that. It's the fact that they make it look so damn easy.....and it's not!! I used to play the violin and I never ever ever sounded anything at all like this. But I did crank out some pretty mean scales....lol  Seriously though, these girls R*O*C*K   You can learn more about them by clicking on the ESCALA link.  Bloody wow.

a place that you go to give

Saturday, 29 August 2009 4:40 P GMT-05

I saw a quote today that was posted on Facebook from Ken Rutkowski ; a quote I am positive at least some people out here will appreciate. Ken has this thing he does on Facebook called, 'My Thought For The Day'.

On Thursday, the following quote was Ken's thought for the day:

Some of the biggest challenges in relationships

comes from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something

They are trying to find someone who is going to make them feel good

In reality, the only way a relationship will last

is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give

and not a place that you go to take

I had posted this yesterday shortly after the news of Michael Jackson's death had been reported by the news. Almost immediately, I pulled the post in hopes that the media had got it all wrong.

Michael Jackson did not just die.

I was hoping that all Michael had gone into the hospital for was possibly an ingrown toenail---maybe the media was just being the 'ever dramatic' over Michael's condition and they had it all wrong.

Sadly, as the news still wasn't sinking in, I stared at the television, like nearly everyone did, with nothing but complete and utter disbelief.  I was in shock---and to a certain extent, I still am.  Michael was only 5 years older than I am. I grew up watching nearly every move this little boy-to-man, made; from Hitsville, U.S.A. and the Jackson 5, to his super mega star solo career.  For me, and how Michael and his music were always a part of my life, yesterday was like losing a member of the family. I just can't imagine not ever seeing or hearing from this guy, ever again. That is just so wrong.

**Got To Be There, is a song that a friend (Lisa P) and I did together at a junior high school talent show back in 8th or 9th grade.  No, I don't have a recording of our performance (thank god).

I completely agree with you...the truth will someday come out about him. And many people will realize that they had it all wrong. It is sad :(
